Win a Blue Tarantula Print from Chien C Lee Photography!

Enter your email address for your chance to win this beautiful print from celebrated naturalist and photographer Chien Lee!

In September 2017, Chien came across this astonishing blue tarantula in the rainforests of Sarawak — and she turned out to be a new species. Spider enthusiasts were thrilled with the discovery, and researchers from Europe weren’t far behind. But the tarantula’s newfound fame meant that poachers involved in the capture, breeding and sale of rare spiders were hot on their heels. Sadly, this species went from discovery to availability on the market in a matter of months. Nonetheless, she remains a testament to the countless wondrous new species that remain undiscovered in the tropical regions of the world.

A bit about us — The Borneo Project works with Indigenous communities in Malaysian Borneo to protect their land, livelihoods and cultures for generations to come. We recognize that these rainforests hold immense conservation value, with rich biodiversity and much still to learn. We’re working with local communities to study and safeguard the largest remaining unprotected primary forests of Sarawak. Find out more at borneoproject.org
